This time of year is tough on our immune systems; during Winter many of us are struck down by the dreaded cold and flu. Luckily there are natural remedies to help us fight off colds - we have put together a simple, natural and effective recipe to create your own chest rub. Enjoy!

Ingredients & Tools:

Directions:

  1. Soak coconut body oil bottle in some hot water to soften consistency if needed, by pouring a bowl of hot water and letting bottle sit in it for up to 60 seconds
  2. Pour contents of softened coconut oil into glass mixing dish
  3. Add essential oils
  4. Mix together in bowl until everything is combined
  5. Scoop into clean jar, with air tight lid (make sure jar has been sterilised beforehand by soaking in hot water and tea tree essential oil)
  6. Allow mixture to re-solidify in room temperature or for easier use, just put in fridge until hard
  7. Store at room temperature - will last for a year. Please note: remember that coconut oil will melt in the summer so store in the fridge then.

To use:
Rub on chest, back, neck and bottoms of feet.

Cautions: Do not apply on broken or sensitive skin, eyes, around mouth or anywhere directly on your face. Always do a patch test first.
